The following trip is on Sunday the 24th of february in Bagsværd Svømmehal at 10:30 am. We did this last year and had a fantastic day. The pool is great and it has family rooms, so the whole family can get changed together. It is 16 kr per child and 32 kr per adult.

Statens museum for kunst

Ohh my god it is a long time since I have written anything here! To make up for it I have planned two new trips. The first one taking place at “Statens museum for kunst” already on Sunday. This is probably late notice for most of you, but don’t worry, there is another trip planned for February.

Anyway the trip is to go to “Statens museum for kunst” on Sunday the 20th of January at 10.30. Bring your own packed lunch if needed. According to the website the café should be opening up this month, but I not sure if it is open yet. In the museum there is a kids section where the kids can paint and become little artists. John says this is really great and that Liam loved it.
Entry is free, but I think John said that the kids section had a little fee.

Halloween

We have been at this for a year now. The first event with Copenhagen kids was pumpkin carving last year.
To make halloween a new tradition with the Copenhagen kids it is time to get the tall black hats out of the wardrope. It’s halloween in our place. Bren is going to get some games ready, I will once again make pumpkin soup and of course we have to carve pumpkins.
So October 28th at Syriensvej 33 at 2 pm bring your own pumpkins. John has promissed to bring pumpkin carving sets, so this year our pumpkins will look even cooler than last year! For a late lunch/early dinner there is going to be the soup and I was hoping you would all bring bits for pot luck again. I think that has worked really well.

Open house in Nature Centre Vestamager

With the risk of sounding obsessed with Nature Centre Vestamager I want to inform that they have open house on Sunday. They are usually great fun. It is on Sunday the 2nd of September from 12 to 16. We expect to make an appearance.

Apple Juice

Is everyone back from holidays? We had a great time in Ireland, nice and early in the year before the rains started.
Anyway, it is time for a new trip. I think that we should pick apples down in Kongelunden and then go to the nature centre and make apple juice to have with our picknick. There is a covered over area there where we can eat. There is also an exibition on the cow.
Meeting point is on the corner of rosenlundsvej og kalvebodvej at 10 am sunday the 16th of september.

Photo album

I have been very reluctant getting a digital camera, but now I have converted to the high tech photo world! I got a super cool (just to prove I’m danish) camera for my birthday and am now snapping away.
Anyway the reason I was so reluctant was that I didn’t like the idea that you never really got to make photoalbums, but then I realised that it has been a while (4 years) since I got around to that anyway.
The great news is that I have been told about this very cool website, mypublisher.com, where you can download a program that will make an album for you with your photos. You then send the album off to get developped, and viola, in the post arrives your new photoalbum. It is great. I have flicked through on and they look really good.
I have my first album almost ready. It’s of the kids in the kids group. Can’t wait to get i back!

Børnejazz and Circus

So I promissed to be a bit earlier out this time! The plan is to make a børnejazz outing and a circus outing.

Circus Arena is in town. Unfortunately I seem to have dobble booked myself, so a date for the circus has to wait another couple of days. Hoping to go in the first half of april. Originally thinking 15th april, but Noahs cusin is probably having her birthday then. Anyway will get back to you about that.

Børnejazz on the other hand is fairly definite. It takes place in Cafe Ingolf here on Amager at 1 o’clock on sunday the 6th of may. We have been to it ones and it was great. We need to book for this, so let me know well in advance.
